The time is now for Brook

'The Special One' Kell Brook will hope to step another step closer to what he has always dreamed infront of his hometown crowd tonight in Sheffield. Kell Brook will face against dangerous Argentine Hector Saldivia in the Final Eliminator for a shot at the IBF Welterweight Championship of the World.

The unbeaten Steel City lad (28 [18ko]-0) has earned criticisim from British boxing fans after his majority decision win over tough American Carson Jones in Sheffield on 7th July 2012. Many of the critics have voiced concerns over Kell's quality, conditioning and heart. This was highlighted when people found out recently that Kell did not want to fight WBO Welterweight Champion Timothy Bradley for a shot at his championship.

Kell Brook for myself is a superstar in the making but while I say that he looked shaky at times aginst Carson Jones. Was this down to lack of skill, conditioning or poor preparation. Everyone has their own opinions in this fantastic sport we call boxing. I believe Kell is a fantastic boxer who may have performed not at his best but he never has fought in that style of fighter or even been put in that kind of pressure before in his career.

Hector Saldivia (41 [32ko]-2) is a dangerous Argentine who will provide Kell Brook with threats he may never have experienced. The Argentine has lost both bouts by stoppage. He will be a huge test but he is very open to hooks and that could be Brook's opening.

Kell Brook could get the critics on his side with a good win and earn his shot at fight with the winner of Rendal Bailley or Devon Alexander who fight later on in the night. I think Brook will show the class we all believe he has with a stoppage late on against the Argentine.
